Cruising Night in Penn Yan

Cars have attracted followers since they were first invented.  Hold an event with cars, and the crowds will come.  The Village of Penn Yan located at the Northeast branch of Keuka Lake has been the location for  “Cruisin Night” for the past 15 years.    Approximately 200 cars were on display with an assortment to compliment anyones taste, from antique models to those new this year.  There were even a few motorcyles on display. The display of vehicles were set up from the Post Office on Main Street all the way down to the Main St/Lake St intersection.  Onlookers and browsers filled the streets, all out enjoying a nice pleasant rain comfortable night.

Rainshowers stayed at bay for the event, allowing visitors to stroll around, catch a bite to eat from one of the numerous vendors and chat with friends they bumped into.  The display ended with a colorful  parade of the vehicles for all to see.

The downtown restaurants enjoyed the extra activity, as many experienced when deciding to find a place to dine, as their waits were usually 30 minutes or more.,  We headed down Linden Street out of the crowd and found Hollys Red Rooster ready with a table for us.  The evening ended with a wonderful and satisying meal.Hollys red rooster
