Kind of a confusing question – right ? Well, this happens. A property gets listed for sale and because of addressing errors or 911 changes, the property shows up on a map nowhere near where it should be. What Keuka Lake property owner with a home for sale wants any confusion when it comes to the location of their property for sale ? None !
A recent experience for me, was when mapping out some properties for a client for Seneca Lake properties. On the map, one of the properties showed up on Keuka Lake. They first wanted to discount the property because it was supposedly on the wrong lake. I reassured them that it was definitely on Seneca Lake. Guess what ? They absolutely loved the property and it is their favorite to write an offer on. Now what if they decided not to look at it based on the mapping location?
Sellers are also affected when the property does not map out correctly. The aerial map above marks out where a listing is located on East Bluff on Keuka Lake. Not only is the marker on the wrong side of the road, I do not even see the correct property in the picture.
