4144 Poplar Point on Seneca Lake – Huge Price Reduction
January 28th, 2013 categories: Seneca Lake
As buyers don’t you just love it, when the sellers decide to become serious ? No matter how someone reaches the point to sell their lakefront home, it is always a tough decision. You do have to remember these sellers have created numerous memories with children and grandchildren, aunts and uncles and of course the multitude of friends. This spectacular property has been a vacation home for generations to enjoy and they have definitely enjoyed it. The sellers have reduced the price to an unbelievable amount of $579,000.
You will enjoy 2.75 acres allowing you plenty of room to build a new home to replace the vintage cottage or leave the cottage intact for a bunk house or guest house. 225 feet of water front makes this your personal space with room to swim, dock your boats or set sail.

The flat beach allow ease of use when bringing your watercraft in and out of the water. Can’t you just feel the cool breezes blowing through your hair as you take off on a little kayak excursion ? There will be a great dinner waiting for you on your return, something wonderful on the grill I am sure.
The vintage cottage stands as an icon to this point. Enjoy it as it is, or make it your own. This beautiful piece of property on Seneca Lake is waiting for its new owners to create new memories. Is that person you ?
There is plenty of room for campers and tents, kids and parents, games of football and badminton, races and burnt marshmallows over the fire pit. Just the thought of boats and water and family fun, is making me crave our beautiful summer weather that is just around the corner. Because Seneca Lake is such a large lake, there is no boat too large or small.
You are just a few minutes drive to many restaurants an shops in either Watkins Glen, Penn Yan or Geneva. Along the way you will find numerous wineries and farmers markets for fresh homegrown produce. Yes, fresh salads and corn on the cob are just minutes purchase to table. Need a new picnic table ? No problem, there are many cottage businesses in the area that can build a table or even some comfortable Adirondack chairs for you.
End your day relaxing next to the campfire, roast marshmallows, tell jokes and discuss the great day you had – it doesn’t get any better than this

National Fishing and Boating week occurs on the first full week of June every year. This year the dates are June 2-10,2012. What a great reason to experience the love of fishing and boating. Go ahead , gather some friends or family and get out on the water, the experience is worth it.
Girls, boys, men or women, fishing and boating are open to everyone to enjoy. The Finger Lakes offer miles and miles of boating opportunities from shallow, weedy lakes like Honeoye Lake to cavernous cold lakes Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lakes.
- Find Your Boat – Take a look at Boat Explorer and watch a DVD that will help determine the best boat for you and your family.
- Make Memories – Bring the young ones a long, you will have as much fun as them. Record the day and share the video with other family members over a bowl of popcorn.
- Buy A Fishing License – When you purchase a license, the money goes to conservation programs, fish hatcheries, studies on invasive species and clean water programs. All of these programs work to insure you have a great fishing experience now and for your children.
- Discover A New Hot Spot – Find a new place to pull in the catch of the day by using the Hotspot Map.
- Learn From Others - visit Take Me Fishing.Org for all kinds of resources, maps and information.
Of course the best place to take off from in your boat, is of course your very own lakefront property. Call me when you are ready to purchase your own lakefront home. What is better than a boat and a dock ? A house with a boat and a dock ! – Oh yes, my favorite….Keuka Lake …perch from the cold waters of Winter.

One Of The Best Memorial Day Weekends In The Finger Lakes
May 30th, 2012 categories: Canandaigua Lake, Keuka Lake, Seneca Lake
As far back as I can remember, I can not remember a Memorial Day Weekend that was just so weather perfect. The skies were blue, the lakes had warmed up, the temperature was warm and summer like and in some places if you were lucky, there was a nice mild breeze.
I was fortunate enough to get around to three of the Finger Lakes on this Memorial Day weekend; Keuka Lake, Canandaigua Lake and Seneca Lake. I spent Sunday working and spending time with friends on Seneca. We toured around the lake to visit friends and clients. On the boat it was neither too warm or too cold – it really was just perfect.
So now I would like to ask you why you are not yet on the lake ? Call me , we can work on that little issue. You still have plenty of time to enjoy the summer on one of the Finger Lakes. Don’t you hear the lakes calling you ?
Remember if you are looking for a great place to purchase on Canandaigua Lake to make your own, call myself or Ray Leone. If Keuka Lake is more your flavor, contact Seth Olney or myself. On Seneca Lake, reach out to Dave Reeve, Seth Olney or myself. Just be sure to call one of us.
As always, if you have some great pictures of the lakes, I would love to showcase them on my blog and of course I will give you credit for your work.
The peacefulness of the lake gave me time to reflect on all of those service men and women that have lost their lives defending our freedom.
