MacKenzie-Childs Barn Sale !!!! Save the Date

The long awaited announcement is out, and much earlier than normal.  Yes the huge!!!!! Barn Sale is set for July 16-19, 2015.  In the past, everyone at MacKenzie-Childs was very close lipped until right before the date.  No excuses this year for not attending … you have over 3 weeks to plan and prepare.  Come early and call for reservations now, as rooms in the area fill up quickly.  You might want to check out some of the B&B’s in the area and maybe even some of the lakeside rentals.

This sale is attended by followers from all over the world, literally.  Every year at this time, my phone starts to ring and it mixed between real estate clients looking to buy or sell, or it is the proverbial question “Do you know when the Barn Sale is?  I just have to go.”  So there you have it.  You now know the ball is in your court.  Hey you may even see me this year,  I have avoided the sale for the last few years.  Well not really avoided, but had client appointments.

While you are here, how about looking at some great vacation properties?  If you own a vacation home in the area, you will always have a place to stay for the sale.  Plus you will have another reason to pick up more “goodies” at the Barn Sale.

Bring your wallets and shopping savvy…there will be some great buys !

MacKenzie-Childs Annual Barn Sale

The long-awaited sale, well at least since last year.  For many women and men, this is a must attend event.  I just read comments on Facebook and one woman stated that this sale is on her “bucket” list.  If you like the style, you can easily become hooked.  It is also a style that is easily recognizable with buyers coming from LA on the West Coast and even Europe.  Wise buyers set up their vacation in the Finger Lakes, giving them no reason to miss this great sale.   And where else do you see glitz and glam standing in line waiting for the doors to open ?  Prepare to see hundreds of high-end vehicles, mostly SUV’s (for the seasoned buyers) lined up along State Route 90.  Yes, there will be that many attending.  Like I said, this is a widely awaited event and it only happens once a year.

This year seasoned shoppers will be stopping at the new Longaberger Outlet Store in the Waterloo Outlet Mall as well.

For those that have not experienced the MacKenzie-Childs phenomenon, this store designs everything from furniture to candlesticks in a very unique and whimsical style.

And for those that are really hooked and would love to enjoy an entire estate designed by Richard and Victoria, there is currently one for sale and I would love to show it to you.  It would be perfect for a summer get-a-way or even a fun Bed and Breakfast.  Either way it is a wonderful, sprawling estate just down the road from your favorite store.  Even though it is filled with classic MacKenzie-Childs pieces, I am sure there is always room for updating or just adding a little more.  For more information about this spectacular listing, click on this link MacKenzie-Child Estate .

This property looks out over Cayuga lake – what a relaxing view !
